KinderCare

Architectural rendering of future Kindercare building - a single story building with a brick exterior and cement awnings over the glass entrance space

Finding quality child care is one of the biggest challenges working families face, particularly in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. The University is committed to your well-being, and the well-being of your families, as you integrate your family and life commitments. As such, Notre Dame is partnering with KinderCare, the nation’s largest child care and early education provider, to operate a new on-site facility to provide child care for faculty, staff, and students with children starting at the age of 6 weeks.  The child care center will be located on the north edge of campus near White Field, Beichner Hall (home of the Family Resource Center that serves students), and The Landings at Notre Dame apartments.  Plans are in place to break ground Spring 2024 and open Summer 2025.

KinderCare has provided early childhood education for more than 50 years and currently partners with several universities. The Early Childhood Development Center (ECDC) will continue to operate on campus and work in collaboration with KinderCare.
